CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Lady Tiger soccer pulled out their third 1-nil win of the season tonight defeating Bethel University and pushing their record to 8-2 on the season.
Breanna Baptiste scored the game's lone goal in the 19th minute on a break away, beating Bethel's Danielle Kryzaniak.
After not recording a shot on goal last Saturday against Taylor University in a 1-0 loss, Campbellsville finished with 11 shots tonight with nine on goal.
Late in the match,
Lakin Walls had an opportunity to put the match out of reach in the 87
th minute, but Kryzaniak was able to make a diving kick-save – her eighth stop of the game.
Bethel (3-4) finished the night with eight total shots – six on goal.
Amanda Howard recorded her fourth shutout of the season and 24
th of her career, stopping all six Wildcats shots. Howard currently ranks 23rd in the NAIA with a goals against average of .680.
