No. 14 Men’s Soccer travels to Shawnee State for final road match of regular season

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The 14th-ranked Campbellsville men's soccer team is back on the road Saturday afternoon for its final regular-season match against Shawnee State University at 8 p.m. ET from Portsmouth, Ohio.
 
The Tigers picked up a 3-0 victory over University of the Cumberlands on Tuesday night in their last match. After a scoreless first 74 minutes, Campbellsville scored three times in 11 minutes to earn its third-straight win and is now unbeaten in its last six matches.
 
Yudai Yamauchi scored twice in five minutes en route the Tigers victory on Tuesday night and Lucas Batistela rounded out the scoring in the 86th minute. Campbellsville outshot the Patriots 26-2 and Cumberlands did not generate a shot in the second half.
 
Following the victory, the Tigers moved to 10-1-1 on the year and are 4-0-1 in the Mid-South Conference.
 
Entering the weekend, Ignacio Mangada is Campbellsville's leading scored with 20 points and nine goals. Yamauchi and Nathan Heath are second on the team with 13 points. Heath has the second-most goals for the Tigers with six, while Yamauchi is tied for second on the team with three assists.
 
Andreas Nota recorded his fourth shutout of the season as Campbellsville has seven total shutouts in 12 matches. Nota has a 0.81 goals against average to go along with 45 saves. The Tigers' seven shutouts are ninth on the NAIA and Nota's .810 goals against average ranks 20th overall in the nation.
 
Shawnee State is 2-14-0 on the year and 0-5-0 in the Mid-South Conference. The Bears dropped their last four matches and have been outscored 21-5 over that stretch. In its last match, Shawnee State suffered a 7-3 loss to No. 24 Cumberland University at home. The Bears have three players with at least 10 points this season led by Caspar Nolte and Alek Blevins with 15 and 14 points, respectively.
 
Matthew Boreman and Zachary Smith have combined to make 92 saves in 15 matches this season, but have surrendered 63 goals.
 
Last year's match between Shawnee Sate and Campbellsville ended with the Tigers picking up a 4-0 victory at home. Campbellsville has won three-straight matches over the Bears. Shawnee State's last win came on Oct. 19, 2013 in Portsmouth, Ohio, 2-1.
 
First kick between Campbellsville and Shawnee State is slated for 8 p.m. ET on Saturday from the Shawnee Turf.
