Lady Tigers cruise to 4-nil victory over University of Pikeville on Friday night

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Lady Tiger soccer scored four goals in the first half and cruised to a 4-nil victory of University of Pikeville on Friday night.
 
The win is the first for Campbellsville (3-9-1, 1-1-1 MSC) in its Mid-South Conference schedule this season. University of Pikeville falls to 0-11 overall and 0-3 inside the MSC.
 
It didn't take the Lady Tigers long tonight to get in the scoring column, as Rachel Blumfeldt delivered a pair of goals inside the first 10 minutes – her sixth and seventh of the year.
 
Breanna Baptiste added on in the 36th minute with her first goal of the year and then assisted on Makayla Shearer's fourth goal of the year in the 40th.  
 
Goalkeeper Amanda Howard had a fairly easy night in goal as UPIKE finished with only three shots – all in the first half – and only one on goal.
 
Campbellsville dominated the pitch with 36 total shots – 16 on frame.
 
The Lady Tigers will now have eight days off before traveling the Life University on Saturday, Oct. 14. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET.
 
CU will return home to host University of the Cumberlands on Tuesday, Oct. 17 for Senior Night starting at 6 p.m.
