CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville's men's basketball team drained 57.6 percent of its three-point attempts on Friday night en route to a 109-64 win over Central Pennsylvania College to start the Campbellsville University Classic at the Powell Athletic Center.
 
Hagen Tyler led the Tigers (6-1) with 17 points and he also became the 31st Campbellsville men's basketball player to record 1,000 career points. Tyler made five of his eight field goals and went 4-for-7 from beyond the arc. Six different players hit double figures for Campbellsville, where eight different players made a three-point basket.
 
The 19 three points from the Tigers are the most this season and most since Nov. 11, 2016 when they hit 20 shots from beyond the arc against Ohio State University-Mansfield. Campbellsville's 109 points is the highest point total since its five-overtime marathon game against University of the Cumberlands on Feb. 9, 2017.
 
Noah Baylor finished with games highs in points and rebounds with 18 and 10, respectively, to notch the only double-double in the contest. For the first time all season, the Tigers were outrebounded in a game and the Knights (5-3) corralled 42 rebounds, compared to 31 from Campbellsville.
 
Both sides played close through the first media timeout with Campbellsville holding the largest lead of five points twice and Central Pennsylvania held a 6-3 lead in the early going. With a 20-16 lead at the first media timeout, the Tigers came out fast and started to stretch its lead. John Blanc hit a pair of free throws for the Knight to pull them back within a pair, but a 9-0 run from Campbellsville gave the Tigers their first double-digit lead of the night 29-18.
 
Central Pennsylvania could not string together a run late in the first half as Campbellsville scored nine of the final 11 points in the first half to take a 50-28 lead at the intermission. After cutting their deficit to 20-18 after the first media timeout, the Knight only scored 10 more points over the final 11:26 of the half compared to 32 from the Tigers.
 
After trading points over the first 2:43 of the second half, Campbellsville countered with an 11-2 run to push its lead to 30 points (66-36). Central Pennsylvania could only get as close as 20 points, which came in the first minute of the second half.
 
The Tigers lead continued to balloon and they took their largest lead of the game with 6:45 left in the game as Campbellsville went ahead 96-48. The 48-point lead for the Tigers was its largest of the season up to this point.
 
Campbellsville continued to roll down the stretch as it went on to pickup a 109-64 victory over the Knights. The Tigers compiled 59 points in the second half on Friday night, which are the most points they have scored in a half this year.
 
For the game, Campbellsville went 19-for-33 from beyond the arc, highlighted by knocking down 11-of-18 three-point attempts in the first half. Central Pennsylvania was on the complete opposite end of the spectrum in three-point shooting as it missed all 17 of its three-point field goals. The Knights shot just 31.9 percent from the floor, but hit 18-of-22 free throws in the contest.
 
The Tigers also racked up a season-high 29 assists on 38 made field goals and tied its season best with seven blocks. The Campbellsville bench stepped up in the game with 60 points – which is the best bench production the Tigers, have seen this season. Jacob King set careers highs in points (13) and assists (7), while Kel Livers also recorded a career-high 11 points.
 
Campbellsville is back in action on Saturday afternoon as it hosts Brescia University to round out the Campbellsville University Classic at 3 p.m. ET from inside the Powell Athletic Center.
