Warman, Riffle both fire 74 to be tied for eighth at the LWC Golf Spring Fling

COLUMBIA, Ky. — Round one of the Lindsey Wilson Golf Spring Fling didn't go as planned for Campbellsville University men's golf as the Tigers sit in sixth place after round one at The Pines.
 
Host Lindsey Wilson College leads the team scores with a 286, while the Blue Raiders B Team is second with 296. Indiana University East (299), Kentucky Wesleyan (300) and Bryan College (302) round out the Top 5.
 
Individually, LWC's Federico Navarro and Rasmus Lind sit in first and second, respectively, after carding 68 and 69. Tyler Pearson (IU East) fired a 2-under 70 to sit in third, while Cameron Claunch (LWC) shot a one-under 71 for fourth. Cody Mingues (LWC, 72) and Nick Scully (Bryan, 72) both round out the Top 5.
 
For Campbellsville, it was the Justins lead the way. Justin Warman and Justin Riffle both fired two-over 74s to sit in a tie for eighth place. The top-seeded Tiger, James Higgins, struggled with a five-over 77 to be tied for 21st.
 
Rounding out the scoring for Campbellsville – Halen Stamper is tied for 38th with a seven-over 79 and Nathan Lee is in solo 48th after an 83.
 
Round two of the LWC Spring Fling is scheduled for a shotgun start on Tuesday morning at The Pines in Columbia.
