GULF SHORES, Ala. – Senior Brandon Wiseheart highlighted Day 2 of NAIA Championship competition, earning the first individual All-American honor for the Tigers in track and field program history.
Breaking his former record of 25:10.09 from the Mid-South Conference Championships, Wiseheart placed sixth in the 5,000-meter race walk in a time of 24:04.15.
Adam Sandidge grabbed a spot in finals in the 5,000-meter run, finishing 10
th in a time of 15:15.69. He will compete for another All-American honor on Saturday, May 27 at 6:55 p.m. ET in finals.
Competing in the lone field event today for the Tigers,
Brayden Russell competed in high jump. He leaped 1.98 meters for 11
th place.
Rounding out the competition for Campbellsville on Day 2, sophomore
Paxton Wiley ran the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 15.45 for 22
nd.
Day 3 of NAIA competition for the Tigers will begin at 3:50 p.m. ET on Saturday, May 27 with the 4x100-meter relay finals.
