MARIAN, Ind. — Indiana Wesleyan scored three times in the first half, added two goals in the second and Lady Tiger soccer was unable to recover, falling 5-0 in the first of two games this weekend in Indiana.

Campbellsville (0-3) will now look to bounce back on Saturday at 1 p.m. at No. 22 Taylor University (3-0).

It didn't take long for Madison Abbott to put the Wildcats on the scoreboard with a goal in the 14th minute.

With the Lady Tigers playing from behind, CU was unable to covert on three early shots by newcomers Keirsten Clukey, Molly Hall and Rachel Blumfeldt.

The rest of the half was all Indiana Wesleyan. Olivia Schmidt found Lexis Garcia for the second goal in the 35th minute and just 1:49 later, Tia Sanford put the Wildcats up 3-0 before halftime.

The second half started like the first – an Indiana Wesleyan score. Garcia netted her second goal of the day - off another assist from Schmidt - to put the Wildcats ahead, 4-nil with 39 minutes to play.

It just wasn't CU's day, as Indiana Wesleyan went ahead 5-0 with an own-goal in the 60th minute.

Campbellsville finished with only six shots – one in the second half – and three were on goal. The Wildcats put capitalized on five of the seven shots they put on frame.

The Lady Tigers look to regroup on Saturday at Taylor University. IWU will now host Roosevelt College out of Illinois on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. ET.
