GEORGETOWN, Ky. — Battling through two weather delays lasting three hours, Campbellsville men's golf improved two strokes and fired a 301 as a team to finish in a tie for seventh at the Mid-South Conference Fall Championship.
The Tigers, who shot 305-301, jumped from caught Shawnee State on the leaderboard and finished tied with the Bears in seventh place.
Individually, Campbellsville had two players in the Top 25. Freshman
BJ Knox was consistent all week with matching 74s to finish tied for 11
th.
Justin Warman, playing at his home course in Cherry Blossom, shaved five strokes off his first-round score to shoot 73 today.
Outside the Top 25,
Austin Mahoney placed tied for 31
st by firing 77-76.
Tyler Harrod was right behind by one stroke to be tied for 35
th with 76-78. Lastly,
Pierce Dahl improved two strokes from Monday with a final-round 82 and finished in 60
th place.
University of the Cumberlands led the team tournament by one stroke over Lindsey Wilson after Monday's first round but the host team, Georgetown College, out-did them both today.
The Tigers, who were down three yesterday to Cumberlands, delivered a 295 today and jumped the leaderboard to win at their home course.
Lindsey Wilson finished second, while Cumberlands moved down to third – three strokes off the lead.
