COLUMBIA, Ky. — Lady Tiger golf stayed steady throughout the Lindsey Wilson Fall Classic, finishing with matching scores during the two-day tournament at The Pines. Campbellsville stayed in third place with a team scores of 321-321 (642).
The Lady Tigers were 19 strokes behind second place Indiana Tech (623) and 31 strokes behind the host and champions Lindsey Wilson College (611).
Individually, it was juniors
Michaela Jarman and
Kylie Withrow leading the way for CU.
Jarman fell off the pace today from her first round 76 with a six-over 78. She finished tied for seventh with Georgetown College's Baylee Salyers. Withrow, who shot an opening round 81 on Monday, improved her score by six strokes and finished with a three-over 75 today to finish in solo ninth.
Sarah Dickens and
Kayla Rodgers both finished tied for 22
nd with Shawnee State's Holley Hart. Dickens fell off the pace today with a final round 87 but Rodgers improved four strokes with a nine-over 81.
Lindsey Wilson's Tara Rodenhurst won medalist honors by hiring the lone score in the 60s this week. After starting the final round in third place, she improved five strokes to fire a three-under 69. Overall, Rodenhurst finished the tournament one-under.
Rodenhurst out-played Point University's Courtney Lowery and Indiana Tech's Loren Kreider and Katie Giant. Lowery finished with a final round 70, while the Indiana Tech duo fell off the pace with matching 78s.
In addition, Courtney Vincent and Shayna Cockrill finished tied for fifth and were named All-Tournament team with the Top 3 individuals.
Behind Campbellsville is third place, Point University was eight strokes back in fourth place (650), while Midway finished in fifth (660) and Asbury was sixth (666).
The Lady Tigers will now have two weeks before competing in the Mid-South Conference Fall Championship on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 18-19 at Cherry Blossom GC in Georgetown, Ky.
