Hall and Blumfeldt score early, Wolf scores late to seal 4-2 win over Life University, 4-2

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Three Lady Tigers scored four goals and was capped by Rachel Wolf's in the 89thminute to seal a 4-2 win over Life University on Saturday evening. 
 
Molly Hall scored her sixth and seventh goals of the year – both were assisted by Rachel Blumfeldt, while Blumfeldt scored the remaining goal for the Lady Tigers. 
 
But every time Campbellsville (8-5, 2-2 MSC) took a comfortable lead, Life University (4-8, 0-3 MSC) would come right back. After Hall scored in the 20thminute, Blumfeldt followed with her sixth goal in the 22ndto put CU ahead, 2-0. 
 
Then Josie Davis got in on the scoring act with her eighth of the year just before the half ended in the 44th
 
After one half of play, both teams tallied nine shots but CU's flurry of goals within a 1:30 span of each other was the difference. 
 
In the second half, it didn't take Molly Hall long to extend CU's lead back to two. In the 50th, Blumfeldt raced into the right side of the box and found Hall who finished near post.
 
The Running Eagles wouldn't go away though. Carolina Del Mar rebounded a shot by Davis in the 71stand finished on an open net cutting the lead to one, 3-2.
 
Then it was the senior Rachel Wolf putting the nail in the coffin late. In the 89th, Lakin Walls' shot was rebounded by Wolf and she finished to put CU ahead, 4-2. 
 
Overall, the Lady Tigers out-shot Life University, 21-15. Campbellsville's Katelyn Young tallied five saves in goal while Julia Bernhardt had four saves and Sydney Young had six for Life. 
 
The Lady Tigers will now have four days to prepare for another Mid-South Conference match. CU travels to University of Pikeville on Wednesday, Oct. 17 with kickoff at 2 p.m. ET.
