CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – In the midst of a five-match winning streak, CU women's volleyball will hit the road for Marietta, Ga. to take on Life University Saturday at 2 p.m. ET.
After winning their last five matches and only dropping one set in their last four, the Lady Tigers will take on the Running Eagles for the second time this season after sweeping them at the Powell Athletic Center on Sept. 20.
In the sweep, Campbellsville won each set by no less than five points as the sets went 25-17, 25-20, 25-18 for the Lady Tigers' 10
th win of the season.
Maria Coelho was the only CU attacker with double-digit kills while also adding four blocks in the match.
CU also earned a sweep in their most recent match this past Tuesday, defeating University of the Cumberlands 3-0 in Williamsburg, Ky. after two non-conference wins in the Green River Classic. Against Cumberlands, it was Coelho once again who led the way for the Lady Tigers in kills with 11.
The Lady Tigers are still tied in the loss column with the second place Georgetown Tigers who have played two more conference matches then CU as the two teams will meet in Campbellsville next Tuesday.
