No. 24 Cumberlands defeats Lady Tigers for first time since 2010 on Senior Day

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — No. 24 University of the Cumberlands was too much for Campbellsville Lady Tiger soccer on Saturday afternoon as the Patriots rolled past CU on Senior Day, 5-2. 
 
Cumberlands snaps an eight-game losing streak to Campbellsville as it picked up the first win over the Lady Tigers since 2010. The Patriots now improve their overall record to 15-1-1 on the year and 5-0-1 inside Mid-South Conference play. The Lady Tigers fall to 9-6 and 3-3. 
 
The Patriots came in out-scoring their opponents 53-11 and remained in control for the final 65 minutes. The scoring started in 32ndminute as Sabria Glasgow scored the first of her two goals of the day. Just 70 seconds later, UC extended its lead to 2-0 as Sara Randez finished upper-left for the early lead. 
 
Cumberlands added on quickly in the second half as Glasgow finished her final score in the 54thminute. 
 
The Lady Tigers got on the board in the 56thminute as Rachel McWilliams' corner kick found Molly Hall inside the box and her header cut the deficit back to two, 3-1. 
 
But the Patriots added on some more. Jodie LeMaster tallied her second assist of the day for Cumberlands as she found Sarah Little in the 74thminute. 
 
Campbellsville's leading goal-scorer, Lakin Walls, was able to capitalize on a foul inside the box in the 77thminute as she scored her 12thgoal of the year on a penalty kick. But it was too little too late, as Cumberlands' Hannah Truckenmiller added on the 85thminute. 
 
Glasfow finished with two goals and an assist for Cumberlands, while her teammates Jodie LeMaster and Alanna Skinner both tallied two assists. 
 
The Patriots are tied with Lindsey Wilson for first-place in the Mid-South Conference regular season standings, while the Lady Tigers are in solo fourth. Cumberlands has one final regular season contest as it hosts Cumberland University on Wednesday, Oct. 24. 
 
Campbellsville returns home for the final four games of the season. The Lady Tigers host Georgetown College on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. ET before hosting Cincinnati Christian next Saturday at 5 p.m.
