Warman finishes as NCCAA First-Team All-American; Tigers place third at national championship

PALM COAST, Fla. — Justin Warman finished in third place to earn First-Team All-American honors and Campbellsville University men's golf placed third at the NCCAA Championship this week. 
 
The Tigers shot 300-303-313 in the three-day tournament to finished behind the champions Erskine College and runner-up Ottawa University. Erskine won the title by shooting 304-286-303 and out-pacing Ottawa by two strokes, 301-293-301. 
 
Warman finished in third place after firing 74-70-77. In Wednesday's final round, he started with two bogeys and a double in the first four holes but was able to card third birdies in his first nine holes to go out at two-over. On the back-nine, Warman fell victim to three bogeys sliding back to third place. 
 
A duo of freshman finished in the Top 17 as well. Jon Brewington shot a 78 in his final round to drop back to be tied for 12thwith seven bogeys and only one birdie – one the par-five 18th
 
Seth Bohl also slid down the leaderboard with an 81 in the final round. He also had only one birdie on Wednesday and fell victim to a nine on the par-five ninth hole.
 
Austin Mahoney finished in a tie for 21stafter having an up-and-down final round. He birdied the first two holes out of the gate but didn't see red numbers again until the par-five 18th.  
 
Landon Connor also only had one birdie in his final round, which was the par-five 10th, to shoot 78 in his final round. He finished in solo 24th
 
Ottawa's Carter Lewis won medalist honors with a combined score of 214 (68-71-75). Ottawa's Noah Hofman finished in second with a 219 (76-70-73), while Warman shot 221. 
 
The third-place finish for Campbellsville is the highest in program history at the NCCAA Championship. The Tigers now complete their fall schedule and will get back on the course on Feb. 18-19 at the Georgetown College Spring Invitational in St. Augustine, Fla. at The Slammer & Squire.
