Mahoney fires three-under 69; Tigers lead after Day 1 of Martin Methodist Red Hawk Classic

ATHENS, Ala. — Austin Mahoney fired a three-under 69 and leads the Martin Methodist Red Hawk Fall Classic after the opening round on Monday afternoon.

Mahoney leads by four strokes over teammate Landon Conner, who fired a one-over 73 and is tied for second place.

Campbellsville also a trio tied at 15^th, as Justin Warman shot a four-over 76 along with freshmen Seth Bohl and Jon Brewington.

As a team, the Tigers (294) lead the field by three strokes over Calhoun Community College (297) and the host Martin Methodist Red Hawks (297).

The Tigers will now look to win their second tournament of the season as the second round of the tournament concludes on Tuesday.
