SERIES HISTORY
  • Campbellsville and Pikeville University are meeting for the 21st time in program history.
  • CU leads the series 24-0 over the 13-year history of the matchup, winning all but 3 sets in the series.
  • CU has the most recent win in the series earlier this season with a 3-0 win over the Bears on Sept. 4.
  • In the Sept. 4 match, the Lady Tigers won each set, 26-24, 25-14 and 25-22 while hitting for a .204 average in all three sets with Maria Coelho getting 12 kills, Sonia Flendrich with nine and Katie Johnson with eight.

TIGER CLAWZ
  • The Lady Tigers sit comfortably in the third place position in the Mid-South Conference standings with their 5-2 record. Their only two losses came against ranked opponents Lindsey Wilson (Sept. 18) and Georgetown (Sept. 25).
  • Freshman Paige Merrick has been named MSC Setter of the Week twice and ranks No. 31 in the country with 717 assists on the season. In addition, Merrick's 60 assists vs. Shawnee State (Sept. 11) are a new career-high and are the most by any setter in the MSC this year.
  • For the first time in her career, Campbellsville's Jaimie Thompson was named the Mid-South Conference Defender of the Week on Sept. 24. Thompson, a junior defensive specialist from Owensboro, Ky., recorded 55 digs in three matches last week to lead CU to a 2-1 record. Against University of the Cumberlands on Friday night, Thompson tallied a career-high 25 digs in the five-set victory, while registering 21 against Life University the night before.
  • Thompson ranks seventh in NAIA Division I in digs per game (5.9) and 19th in total digs (460).
  • Senior Maria Coelho ranks eighth on the all-time career list for kills with 1,240.
  • CU ranks 22nd in the country by averaging 18.20 digs per game.

LAST TIME OUT
  • Lady Tiger Volleyball won their most recent match 3-2 over Cumberland University to improve their Mid-South Conference record to 5-2.
  • Campbellsville was without outside hitters Maria Coelho and Katie Johnson as well as middle blocker Julia Fonseca against the Phoenix so freshman Sonia Flendrich led the CU attack with a career-high 17 kills.
  • For the second-straight home match, the Lady Tigers came back from down a set twice in the same match. After struggling on the attack for the first three sets to go down 2-1, CU went on to hit .250 in the fourth and .167 in the fifth for the win.
