No. 1 Georgia Gwinnett takes down No. 4 Tigers for CU's first loss of the season

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Campbellsville men's tennis earned two points over top-ranked Georgia Gwinnett on Wednesday but lost its first match of the season, 7-2.
 
At No. 2 singles, Chrys Castro picked up a 7-6, 6-2 win over Ayed Zatar to earn a point, while Blayze O'Keefe won by default at No. 3 singles over Rafael Coutinho.
 
GGC allowed only five set-wins the rest of the singles.
 
In doubles, Castro and Alejandro Reyes put up a fight against Coutinho and F. Herrera Duran before falling, 8-6.
 
The Grizzlies held server at Nos. 2-3 doubles to win both of those, 8-2 and 8-1, respectively.
 
Campbellsville gets back in action on Monday, March 19 as the Lady Tigers host Mid-South Conference foe Cumberland University at 1 p.m. ET at the Kelly Hall Tennis Complex.
