Three Lady Tiger individuals sit in the Top 50 after opening round of Phoenix Invitational

OLD HICKORY, Tenn. — After the opening round of the Phoenix Invitational at Old Hickory Country Club, the three Lady Tiger golf individuals are inside the Top 50.
 
Junior Kylie Withrow fired an opening-round 83 to sit in a tie for 25th. She was joined by fellow junior Michaela Jarman's 88 and freshman Kristen Miller's 90. Jarman sits in a tie for 39th, while Miller is tied for 49th.
 
Dalton State University leads the team tournament after a 12-over 300. The RoadRunners lead the field by nine strokes over William Carey and 22 strokes over Brenau University and Taylor University.
 
Other Mid-South Conference programs in the field: Cumberland University (fifth, 326); Shawnee State University (12th, 385).
 
Katie Dalton from Dalton State and Aleesha Smith from William Carey both are in first place in the individual standings. Both shot matching two-over 74s.
 
Cumberland University's Raquel Romero Valverde is the lowest individual from the MSC as she sits in a tie for sixth place with a four-over 76 in the first round.
 
The second round of the Phoenix Invitational is scheduled for a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. ET.
