Lady Tiger tennis improves to 6-0 with 7-2 win over Asbury University

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. — Lady Tiger tennis continued its undefeated start with a 7-2 win over Asbury University on Wednesday night.
 
The 16th-ranked Lady Tigers (6-0) lost one singles and doubles match for the Eagles' two points, but CU rolled for the most part of the day.
 
The 16th-ranked pair of Majella Nobile and Kaede Amano swept Alejandra Diaz and Kendall Jablonowski, 8-0, at No. 1 doubles. They were followed with a 9-7 win by Bolor Enhkabayar and Grace Rowe.
 
At No. 3 doubles, Brooklyn Harris and Bailey Decker lost 8-6.
 
In singles, No. 25 Amano swept Caitlin Conyers in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0 to set the tone. Harris earned CU's fourth point with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 5 singles, while Nobile sealed the victory with a 6-3, 6-1 win at the third-seeded singles.
 
Campbellsville now opens 2018 Mid-South Conference play this weekend on the road. The Lady Tigers travel to Shawnee State and Pikeville on March 10 and 11, respectively.
