BURKESVILLE, Ky. — Lady Tiger golf shaved 29 strokes off their first-round score but finished in sixth place at the Mid-South Conference Spring Invitational at Dale Hollow State Park.

Leading the way for CU was junior Kylie Withrow. After an opening round 88, Withrow rallied in the final round with a three-over 75 to jump into 10thplace with a total of 163.

Fellow junior Michaela Jarman also improved in her second round with an 81, while freshman Kristen Miller shot a final-round 90.

Rounding out CU was Katelyn Merritt finishing in 37thplace with a 117-120 in the two rounds.

Kaitlyn Riley won medalist honors by shooting 73-77 and outlasting Tara Rodenhurst of Lindsey Wilson by one stroke (75-76). Cumberland University's Abbey Burgdorf finished third, while Lucia Pena of Cumberlands was fourth.

The conference championship, which is the qualifying tournament for the NAIA Championship, uses the combined scores between the fall and spring invitationals for seeding. The MSC Championship is scheduled for April 23-25 at Bowling Green Country Club.
