Mid-South Conference golf is suspended in the opening round after nine holes

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Tiger and Lady Tiger golf were able to get through at least eight holes on Day 1 of the Mid-South Conference Championship before play was suspended due to rain.

Golf was scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. ET but rain in the forecast this morning pushed everything to a 3 p.m. ET start. Once play started, golfers were pulled off the course twice until officials decided to call it for the day.

On the women's side, juniors Kylie Withrow and Michaela Jarman are both through eight holes and are sitting at five-over par. Both earned birdies on the front-nine with Withrow picking up a two on the par-three third and Jarman a three on the par-four first.

Kristen Miller and Katelyn Merritt also got through eight holes and are 12-over and 25-over, respectively.

On the men's side, Pierce Dahl is leading the way at two-over through nine holes, while Justin Warman and Justin Riffle are both at three-over.

Dahl was able to pick up a birdie on his final hole today – the par-five 14^th. Warman was able to card a pair of birdies – one on the par-five fifth and the other on the par-four ninth.

Austin Mahoney is at five-over, while Halen Stamper is seven-over. Both are through nine holes.

Play will resume in the morning at approximately at 9 a.m. ET.
