Three Tigers are in the Top 11 after Round 1 of the Mid-South Conference Championship

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Sophomore Justin Warman shot a one-over 73 and is currently tied for fifth after Round 1 of the Mid-South Conference Men's Golf Championship at Bowling Green Country Club. 
 
After only playing eight holes yesterday, Warman finished his first round today and carded five birdies through the two days. After starting with a bogey on the fourth hole, Warman rallied with two birdies in the next five holes. He then birdied 16 and 17 and then rolled in another on No. 1 for three birdies in four holes. He finished his round with a pair of pars on the second and third holes. 
 
Austin Mahoney and Justin Riffle also carded solid first rounds to finish the opening round tied for 11th. Mahoney started with a bogey on his first hole – No. 4 – and doubled his second hole but rallied in the final seven with a pair of birdies for his 75. Riffle was a little steady with four pars and a birdie on No. 1 for his matching 75. 
 
Pierce Dahl was able to roll in only one birdie and fell victim to nine bogeys to finish at eight-over and tied for 19th
 
Rounding out Campbellsville's team scoring was Halen Stamper. He started with a triple on the first hole and bogeyed four of the next six and never could recover. Stamper shot 12-over and is tied for 32ndafter the opening round. 
 
Lindsey Wilson's Callum Blinkhorn leads the way for the individual scoring with a five-under 67. Reigning MSC champion, Ben Kendrick from Cumberlands, is right behind with a 68. Cumberland University's Garrett David is four strokes off the lead after a one-under 71, while University of Pikeville's Trey Isenberg is even par and Roger Maynard matched Warman with a one-over round to be tied for fifth. 
 
In the team standings, the top four teams are within five strokes of each other. Cumberland leads with a 299 and is three-strokes ahead of University of the Cumberlands (302) and four in front of Campbellsville (303). Lindsey Wilson is one shot back from the Tigers (304) in fourth place. 
 
Round two of the tournament is underway as all seven teams are scheduled to play 27 holes today to catch back up from yesterday's suspended play.
