BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lady Tigers wrapped up the first round of the Mid-South Conference Championship in sixth-place overall with a team score of 95-over par 383, after the round concluded on Tuesday morning at the Bowling Green Country Club.
 
Following the first day of competition being suspended nine holes into the first round, the round concluded in the morning, where the second round started immediately after the conclusion of round one.
 
After the first round Michaela Jarman was tied for fifth overall in the 37-person field after posting an 18-hole score of 7-over par 79. Jarman was one of just three players to finish the round at even par on the par fives, where Cumberland University's Abbey Burgdorf finished 2-under par on the par fives to lead the field. Jarman recorded her only birdie of the day on the 360-yard, par-four first hole.
 
Kylie Withrow finished the round in a two-way tie for 17th and notched a 13-over par 85. The junior led the way with a pair of birdies in the round, which came on the par-three third hole and on her second to last hole – after starting on No. 14 in the shotgun start – on the par-four 12th hole. Of her five pars on the round, she did not record back-to-back pars in the entire first round.
 
Kristen Miller finished just outside the top 25 by one stroke and was tied for 27th after carding a 19-over par 91 in the first round. After starting on hole No. 15, Miller posted five pars, which included back-to-back pars on the sixth and seventh holes, along with holes No. 11 and No. 12. 
 
Katelyn Merritt rounded out the Lady Tigers four-person squad after capping off the field with a 56-over par 128.
 
Burgdorf led the field with a 1-over par 73 as Cumberland and University of the Cumberlands led the team standings with a pair of 27-over par 315s, followed by Lindsey Wilson College at 30-over par 318.
 
The second round of the tournament is currently underway at the Bowling Green Country Club.
