Withrow jumps up leaderboard as Lady Tigers card lowest round of IWU Invitational to finish fourth

MARION, Ind. — Senior Kylie Withrow fired her second-lowest round of her career and jumped up the leaderboard five spots to finish in a tie third place at the Indiana Wesleyan University Invitational.

Withrow led Campbellsville to a fourth-place finish – just seven strokes behind the champions Taylor University (628). In the second round, the Lady Tigers shaved 11 strokes off their first-round total with a 312 – which was the lowest of the tournament by any team.

In addition to Withrow, fellow senior Michaela Jarman backed up her first-round score of 75 with a five-over 77 to also finish tied for third.

Two more Lady Tigers jumped up the leaderboard in the second round. Freshman Madison Ferrie finished with 85-80 in her two rounds and moved up 11 spots to finish tied for 25^th. Kristen Miller leaped nine positions to finish tied for 27^thwith scores of 85-81.

Freshmen Cortney Withrow and Maddie Coffey also improved on their second rounds with 85 and 90, respectively. Withrow finished tied for 65^thand Coffey was tied for 69^th.

Behind Taylor University, University of St. Francis was two strokes behind (630), while Indiana Wesleyan was three off the Trojans' pace (631).

Campbellsville will now have a week to prepare for the University of the Cumberlands Fall Invitational at Crooked Creek on Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 10-11.
