Seth Bohl cards career-low 68 to finish second at Mid-South Conference Fall Championship

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — Freshman Seth Bowl fired a career-low four-under 68 and jumped the leaderboard 15 positions to place second at the Mid-South Conference Fall Championship this weekend. 
 
Bohl, from Barbourville, Ky., came into the day in 16thplace but had it going in his final round to tally the second-lowest score of the tournament. The 68 beats his best round by four strokes – a 72 at the Lindsey Wilson Fall Invitational to begin the year. 
 
In addition, Bohl led the Tigers to a fourth-place finish after CU carded a team score of 290 in the final round today. The 290 was the second-lowest team score of the tournament as CU jumped up the leaderboard two spots. 
 
Junior Justin Warman fell off the pace by two strokes in the final round and finished in a tie for ninth after shooting 72-74. Also, Landon Conner dropped two strokes and fell to 13thplace with scores of 73-75. 
 
Jon Brewington had a great second round by improving five strokes. He shot 78-73 to finish tied for 25th. Austin Mahoney also improved in his final round by two strokes to finish tied for 36thwith scores of 79-77. 
 
Lindsey Wilson (582) out-lasted Midway University (583) by one stroke for the team championship. LWC's Callum Blinkhorn took home medalist honors as well by out-running Bohl by seven strokes with scores of 69-66. 
 
The top four teams had four strokes between them. Behind Midway, Cumberland University placed third (586), while Campbellsville was fourth (587) and Georgetown was fifth (593).   
 
The Tigers will now have one final tune up before the NCCAA Championship, as Campbellsville travels to the Martin Methodist Invitational on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 8-9 at Hillcrest Country Club in Pulaski, Tenn.
