Box Score OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Lady Tiger soccer team defeated Brescia by a 5-1 score on Wedneday evening. This moves them to 4-1 on the season and they are now 5-0 vs. Brescia since 2006, outscoring them 29-1 in those five games.
Lakin Walls got the scoring started in the 14th minute of action. This was her third goal of the season. In the 27th minute of play the Bearcats leading scorer, Allison Chappell, tied the game at 1-1.
The Lady Tigers added three more goals before the intermission with goals by
Molly Hall and
Hope Sanders and a second by Walls.
Hope Sanders added another Lady Tiger goal in the 83rd minute, the fifth of the game.
Katelyn Young and
Sydney Pinkham each played one half. Young recorded a save and allowed one goal while earning the win. Pinkham played the second half. Brescia only took one shot the entire second half and it was not on goal.
The Lady Tigers also finished with a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks and now has a 32-3 advantage this season in corner kicks.
Campbellsville is back in action on Saturday when it travels to Cincinnati Christian with a 7:30 start time.
