Parrott continues to impress with another win at Bill Bockwitz Spring Arbor Invitational

JACKSON, Mich. — In a span of five days, freshman Gracie Parrott has claimed her second tournament victory coming from behind to win the Bill Bockwitz Spring Arbor University Fall Classic.

Parrott and the Lady Tigers played 36-holes on Monday and she sat in a tie for second place with scores of 75 and 67. The 67 matches her career-low which was set last week at the NCCAA Mid-East Region. In the final round, Parrott fired a two-under 70 to jump Taylor University's Nicole Jung on the leaderboard winning by two strokes.

The consecutive victories have happened only three times in program history as fellow Green County product Cassidy Scantland won back-to-back tournaments in April 2014 and Lauren Scholl won a pair of tournaments in 2006.

With the two victories, Parrott still has a way to go to match Scantland's six wins during her rookie season. The two wins now rank her fifth in program history with the most victories in a career.

Behind Parrott on the leaderboard was fellow freshmen Abigail Coffey and April Houk. Coffey finished in 11^thplace with scores of 74, 77, and 81. The 74 matches her career low during the first-three tournaments. Houk shot 84, 87, 83 to finish in 29^thplace.

Cortney Withrow rallied on Tuesday with her lowest score of the tournament. She shot 88, 96, 84 in the three rounds to finish in 33^rd. Kendal Mills rounded out CU with a 38^thplace finish.

CU will now have a little less than a week to prepare for the first of three Mid-South Conference events on the year. The Lady Tigers will play in the MSC Fall Championship on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 7-8 at Gibson Bay in Richmond, Ky.
