CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Friday evening Lady Tiger volleyball will get back to action, visiting the University of the Cumberlands at 7 p.m. ET.
LAST TIME OUT
- In the Lady Tigers last two matches, they have been able to pull off sweeps against Brescia and Pikeville.
- In their last match against Pikeville, Campbellsville was able to win in three straight sets, 25-7, 25-14, and 25-23.
- Kymbra Kirby was able to lead the CU attack recording nine kills in the three sets.
PREVIEW OF THE PATRIOTS
- Entering Friday, the Patriots have an overall record of 12-10 and 3-7 inside the Mid-South Conference.
- UC is also in the midst of three game losing streak after falling to Union, Cumberland University, and Lindsey Wilson.
- The Patriots are led by Mackenzie Koch and Ashley Sobocinski with 178 and 163 kills.
- Defensively, Leah Crist has been a powerhouse on the front row ranking third in the NAIA in blocks with 113 on the season.
FIVE SET THRILLER
- In the last meeting between the Patriots and Lady Tigers, Campbellsville overcame an early 0-2 hole before winning three straight sets to take the match.
- After the early deposit, Man Ching Fung entered as CU's libero and was able to record a match-high 19 digs in only three sets.
- In the third set, the Lady Tigers were down to their last point, trailing 24-23 before rallying three straight and winning the set 26-24.
- Four Lady Tigers were able to record double digit kills, led by Kirby's 14.
MSC OVERVIEW
- Both CU and UC enter the match with a 3-7 record inside conference play, tying at the sixth spot in the conference.
- Lindsey Wilson currently sits atop the standings with a conference record of 10-2.
- Jaimie Thompson leads the conference in digs with 536 on the year.
Following Friday evening's match, Campbellsville will travel to Life University on Saturday for a 2 p.m. ET match.
