Parrott and Houk earn All-American honors to lead Lady Tigers at NCCAA Championship

PALM COAST, Fla. — Freshmen Gracie Parrott and April Houk finished with NCCAA Women's Golf All-American honors at the national championship that finished on Wednesday afternoon.

Hammock Beach's Ocean Course wasn't very nice to the Lady Tiger golf program this week as the Campbellsville's underclassmen struggled in the final round of the NCCAA Championship finishing in fourth place as a team.

The Lady Tigers shot 355 as a team to fall out of the Top 3 and had three scores in the 90s to finish the championship.

Parrott finished in fourth place to earn All-American honors after scores of 78, 79, 84.  Houk finished in the Top 10 for her first national championship appearance as well with scored of 78, 83, 86.  The Top 10 in the field earn All-American honors.

Abigail Coffey placed solo 20th, while Kendall Mills finished tied for 24th. Rounding out Campbellsville was Cortney Withrow's 27th place finish.

The Lady Tigers started the tournament with a solid score after round one but dropped one spot on the team leaderboard each day. Grace College won the team championship, while Anna Parramore from Erskine College won individual medalist honors.

The Lady Tigers conclude their fall schedule and will hit the links again in February to start the spring portion of their competition season.
