SERIES FACTS VS. DILLARD
- Dillard and Campbellsville have only faced off twice in the history of each program, with each team earning a win.
- The Lady Tigers earned their win in the most recent meeting in 2007, Coach Colvin's first season as the head coach at CU.
- That win came by a final score of 88-81 on Dec. 12 as former Lady Tiger Melly Heaton scored 26 points and tied a then program record for three-pointers made in a game with eight.
- The only win for Dillard came in 1996 when the Lady Bleu Devils won a neutral court matchup by a single point at 73-72.
SERIES FACTS VS. BRESCIA
- The Lady Tigers and Bearcats have played 39 times since 1986 with CU holding a 21-9 advantage over that span.
- Coach Colvin is 5-1 in her head coaching career against Brescia with the only loss coming in her first season in 2007-08 when the Bearcats won 76-51.
- This will be the first time that CU and BU have faced each other in back-to-back seasons since the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons when they played home and home series against one another both seasons.
- Brescia and Campbellsville will face off twice this season for the first time since 2008-09 with a meeting scheduled for Nov. 22 at another classic in Lebanon, Tenn. hosted by Cumberland University.
- Last year's matchup was a big 33-point win by a final score of 109-76 in the same arena they will play in on Saturday at Bethel University.
- A win would move the Lady Tigers' winning streak to six-straight against Brescia, nearing the program's longest streak of eight-straight from 1989 to 1999.
CHASING 1000 WINS
- Entering the 45th season in Lady Tiger basketball history, they are inching closer and close to a monumental milestone in NAIA women's basketball.
- By current count, Campbellsville women's basketball has recorded 996 total wins in program history, just four wins away from being the third program in NAIA women's basketball to reach the 1,000-win mark.
- With their current win total, the Lady Tigers are third all-time in NAIA wins and will be the third team to ever reach 1,000 NAIA wins in women's basketball history.
- Wayland Baptist' sits at the top spot with a program total of 1651 wins and Union University (Tenn.) had 1141 NAIA wins before converting to NCAA Division II.
- Each program in the top-10 of total program wins started their program in the 1970s with the exception of Wayland Baptist, whose first season came back in 1948-49.
NO. 2 TARGET ON THEIR BACK
- Campbellsville women's basketball was voted No. 2 in the NAIA Preseason Coaches' Poll, their highest preseason rating since the 2015-16 season when they were the No. 1 team in the preseason poll.
- With their No. 2 ranking, that marks the seventh-straight season that the Lady Tigers enter a season in the top 10 of the NAIA rankings.
- During those previous six years, LTB was in the top five four separate times including the No. 1 ranking in 15-16, they were No. 3 last season, No. 4 in 2016-17, and No. 5 in 2014-15.
- CU is the highest rated team in the Mid-South Conference entering the season with five other MSC schools mentioned in the ratings.
SCOUTING DILLARD
- The Lady Bleu Devils opened their season with a pair of wins, first on Nov. 26 against Mobile then this past Monday against No. 23 LSU Alexandria, both at home.
- Both wins came by a single-digit margin of victory with a 67-64 win over Mobile and a 65-59 over LSU Alexandria.
- Dillard is a team that uses their size to their advantage with three of their five starters over the two games listed over 5-10.
- An area where the Lady Bleu have seemed to struggle through two games has been from the free throw line, shooting 56.4 percent from the line on 39 attempts so far.
- DU also has a trend to be a little loose with the ball, committing 18.5 turnovers per game with a dead even turnover margin.
- Last season, Dillard was an eight-seed in the NAIA tournament, falling to No. 1 overall Freed-Hardeman in the first round.
SCOUTING BRESCIA
- The Bearcats got their season started last week with a pair of road tilts in against Mid-South Conference opponents Shawnee State and Georgetown.
- BU dropped both of those matchups, 97-66 in their opener against SSU then 75-53 this past Tuesday against GC.
- As a team, Brescia has shot 35-percent from the field and only 18.8-percent from three-point range over the two games while averaging about 62 shots and 16 threes attempted per game.
- Brescia has also had a staggering number of turnovers through the two contests with a total of 62 giveaways to average 31 turnovers per game and a -14 turnover margin.
TIGER CLAWZ
- The Lady Tigers have had a bit of a rough preseason getting ready for the start of their 2019-20 campaign, suffering some bumps and bruises to key contributors prior to the start of the regular season.
- Coach Colvin expects a majority of her roster to be healthy and active with a couple of players off the bench listed as questionable prior to Friday's tip against Dillard.
- After losing the pair of career 1,000-point scorers in Madison Stewart and Jordan Doram, as well as the outside shooting and defensive tenacity of Madison Kaiser, the Lady Tigers will look to lean on their returning starters of Madison Faulkner, Savannah Gregory, and Caitlin Hall, all of whom were All-MSC and NAIA All-America Selections.
- With Lexy Lake and Courtney Pritchett projected in the starting lineup, the Lady Tigers will look to provide depth off the bench with six players who appeared in over 20 games last season, three of which played in over 30 games.
- A potential x-factor for Campbellsville could be the return of Cristin Hall as the now redshirt junior suffered a season ending injury in CU's first game last season but is back healthy for the start of 2019-20.
UP NEXT FOR CU
- After the Chamber Classic games, the Lady Tigers will continue their early season tournament schedule with another Friday/Saturday pair of games in the Mid-South Conference/Southern States Challenge in Pulaski, Tenn. to face Bethel University and Martin Methodist College.
- CU will play Bethel on Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. ET followed by their Saturday game against Martin Methodist at 5 p.m. ET as CU's first true road matchup.
