CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville University women's volleyball team will get back to the court of Gosser Gymnasium on Tuesday night for another Mid-South Conference match as Shawnee State University will come to Campbellsville.
The Lady Tiger volleyball program will also be hosting their Tiger Cub Night as kids of all ages are invited to participate in special, behind the scenes, events during the night. Tiger Cubs will be invited to arrive at 5:30 p.m. ET prior to the 7 p.m. start to participate in pre-game locker room Pride the Jersey as well as meet the team and coaches.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Lady Tigers dropped their second-straight MSC match last Thursday against Georgetown College as GC took a sweep win by set scores of 25-19, 27-25, and 25-19.
- Campbellsville had more kills in the match than Georgetown but Georgetown used their efficiency and defensive game to outlast CU in the match.
- CU didn't have a single attacker in double digits with kills for the match with two Lady Tigers finishing with seven kills and two more finishing with six.
SCOUTING SHAWNEE STATE
- The Bears and Lady Tigers will face off for the second time this season after SSU took a home victory over Campbellsville back on Sept. 9 by a 3-1 final score.
- In that first match, both CU's and SSU's top attackers finished with the same amount of kills at 13 and 11 but it was the depth of the Bears and errors from the Lady Tigers that made the difference.
- Shawnee State's next best attackers had eight and six kills respectively when the third highest total for Campbellsville was five, the Lady Tigers also had 34 attack errors compared to only 23 for SSU.
LOOKING AHEAD
- Tuesday night will be the first of three matches this week for Lady Tiger volleyball as they will host Brescia in a non-conference match Friday night at Gosser Gymnasium.
- After Friday they will quickly hit the road for a match at University of Pikeville at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday.
