Parrott earns All-Tournament Team, Lady Tigers finish fourth at MSC Fall Championship

RICHMOND, Ky. — Freshman Gracie Parrott fired a pair of 78s and finished in a tie for third place at the Mid-South Conference Fall Championship at Gibson Bay.

Parrott was the lone Lady Tigers to shoot in the 70s for each round as Abigail Coffey fired 79-82 to finish tied for 10^th place.

Cortney Withrow, April Houk and Kendall Mills all fell off the pace in the second round as well. Withrow shot 83-90 to be tied for 26^th, Houk shot 86-88 to place 28^th and Mills fired 93-95 to finish tied for 38^th.

Lucia Pena and Brianna Baird, both from University of the Cumberlands, finished as medalist and runner-up. Pena shot 72-72 and Baird fired 75-76 to beat Ellen Kehoe from University of Pikeville by 12 and five strokes, respectively.

Tilde Rolandson from Cumberland University tied Kehoe and Parrott for third-place honors.

The Lady Tigers finished in fourth place after firing 326 on Day 1 and 338 on Day 2. University of the Cumberlands won the team title by 16 strokes over Cumberland University. The Patriots shot 306-309 and the Phoenix finished with scores of 315-317.

Lindsey Wilson jumped the Lady Tigers after the first round and beat Campbellsville by 14 strokes with scores of 328-322.

CU will now be the No. 4 seed in the spring edition of the Mid-South Conference Tournament. Both the fall and spring tournaments seed players and teams for the Mid-South Conference Championship in late April and also tally scores for All-Conference, Freshman of the Year and Golfer of the Year awards.

The final tournament of the fall is on the horizon for Campbellsville as the Lady Tigers travel to Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Florida for the NCCAA Championship on Oct. 21-23.
