Moore, Young, McCants, and Bicksler named to All MSC Bluegrass Teams for 2019 performance

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Mid-South Conference announced the first and second team selections for the 2019 All-Bluegrass Division on Wednesday afternoon as four members of the Campbellsville were chosen in total.
 
Seniors Darius Moore, Kendon Young, and Marcus McCants along with redshirt junior Noah Bicksler received the conference honor. Moore and Young received first team selections with McCants and Bicksler earning spots on the second team as McCants earns his second-straight divisional honor with Young being selected to the first team for the third-straight season.
 
Young, a wide receiver from Campbellsville, finished his CU career as the all-time leader in reception yards, finishing with a four-year total of 2,988 yards on 185 receptions and 29 touchdowns. Young is also second record books for the Tigers in receptions and touchdowns after recording a career-high in catches and yards in the 2019 season. The Campbellsville High School product finished 2019 with 64 receptions for 950 yards and seven touchdowns for the Tigers in 2019 on his way to his third-straight All MSC Bluegrass First Team selection.
 
Moore, a linebacker from Atilla, Ala., was the Tigers' leading tackler in 2019 and the sixth leading tackler in the NAIA this season with 114 tackles on the season. Moore also finished as the NAIA's leader in tackles for a loss with 27 on the season with both tackling stats finishing as career-highs in a season for the senior. He earned one MSC Bluegrass weekly honor this season after his 15-tackle performance on Sept. 21 in CU's lone win of 2019 against Union College.
 
McCants, a safety from Seffner, Fla., was the second-leading tackler on the team with 74 total tackles as well 4.5 tackles for a loss. As a leader in the secondary, McCants finished with two interceptions on the season recording a pick in back-to-back games in October against Thomas More and Pikeville, tying for the team lead in interceptions on the season.
 
Bicksler, a kicker/punter from Elkton, Ky., handled all specialist kicking duties for Campbellsville in kickoffs, field goals, and punts for the second-straight season. Bicksler finished 7-for-8 on field goals and 22-for-25 in extra points, only missing four kicks all season with a career-long 41-yard make on senior day against Cumberland University. Bicksler earned the MSC Divisional honor for his punting game, which finished the season with a 40.26 yards per punt average, a long punt of 68 yards, nine punts of over 50 yards, and 17 punts pinned inside the opponent's 20 yard line with only two punts blocked all year.
 
The individual awards and all-conference teams are selected by a vote of the Bluegrass Division's coaches. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own players.
 
Lindsey Wilson's (Ky.) Cameron Dukes is the Craig Mullins MSC Bluegrass Offensive Player of the Year, while Cumberlands' (Ky.) Tyler Pendleton is the MSC Bluegrass Defensive Player of the Year.
 
In addition to the players of the year, Cumberlands' Martize Smith is the Bluegrass Offensive Freshman of the Year Georgetown's (Ky.) Cortez Thomas is the Bluegrass Defensive Freshman of the Year. Lindsey Wilson's Chris Oliver is the 2019 Ron Finley Bluegrass Division Coach of the Year.
 
28 players earned first team all-conference honors and 29 were selected second team all-conference as voted on by the coaches. Ties for all-conference teams were not broken.
