CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – After eight-straight games away from Campbellsville to start their season, the Campbellsville University women's basketball team will play their first home game of the season on Tuesday when they welcome West Virginia University Tech to the Powell Athletic Center.

The Lady Tigers are coming off of their most recent Friday/Saturday slate of games with big wins over Brescia University and Voorhees College in Lebanon, Tenn. at the Rosa Stokes Classic.
Their win against Brescia came in a 95-56 effort for the second CU win over the Bearcats of the 2019-20 season then they went on to beat Voorhees by the impressive final score of 103-39 after limiting VC to only 11 points at halftime.
SERIES FACTS
- The former Mid-South Conference foes of Campbellsville and West Virginia Tech have faced off on the court 15 times prior to the 2019-20 season with the Lady Tigers owning 14 victories between 2007-2018.
- The only win for the Golden Bears came in the very first meeting between the two teams on Feb. 3, 2007 when WVU-Tech earned a 73-53 win at home.
- During CU's current 14-game winning streak against West Virginia Tech, there has only been one time where the Golden Bears have kept the margin of defeat within single digits when they lost by nine on March 1, 2008.
- The Lady Tigers earned a home win against West Virginia Tech last December when CU earned an 84-68 victory at the Powell Athletic Center on Dec. 15.
- In that game, Madison Stewart had a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds as the Lady Tigers had four in double figures led by 16 from both Savannah Gregory and Madison Kaiser.
- The Golden Bears were led by Whittney and Brittney Justice, who will be back this season, as Whittney had 20 points and Brittney had eight points and seven rebounds.
1,000-WIN PLATEAU
- In the 45th season of Lady Tiger basketball history, Campbellsville reached a milestone that had only been accomplished twice before in the history of NAIA women's basketball, win 1,000 games as a program.
- The monumental win came in CU's 91-59 win over Martin Methodist College last Saturday in Pulaski, Tenn. as part of the MSC/SSAC Crossover Challenge.
- Campbellsville joins Wayland Baptist and Union University (Tenn.) as the only other programs to reach the feat as Union is no longer part of the NAIA after moving to the NCAA Division II level.
- The Lady Tigers have reached their 1,000 wins with only two head coaches in the program's history with the 661 from Donna Wise followed up by the 339 and counting from her former player and assistant Ginger High Colvin.
UNSELFISH IN NATURE
- So far, through eight games of the 2019-20 season, the Lady Tigers have been strong on the passing game, ranking third in NAIA Division I in total assists (160) and seventh in assists per game (20.0).
- Led by starting point guard, Caitlin Hall, who ranks third individually in total assists (49), and fourth in assists per game (6.1), CU is always looking to share the rock.
- With 160 total assists on 253 made baskets from the field, Campbellsville had officially assisted on 63.2 percent of their made shots from the field.
- The Lady Tigers also combine the strong passing ability with strong ball security with a +15.4 turnover margin and a 1.5 assist/turnover to rank second and seventh in the NAIA in those categories respectively.
- In the recent 103-39 win over Voorhees, three members of CU. Caitlin Hall, Courtney Pritchett, and Bailey Pedigo. combined for only one shot from the field. Scoring a total of two points between them, they did combine on 13 of the 24 assists for Campbellsville in the game.
SCOUTING WEST VIRGINIA TECH
- The Golden Bears are 6-3 on the season so far behind a pair of three-game winning streaks, as they are currently on one of those winning streaks.
- Most recently, WVU-Tech earned a win similar to CU's victory over Voorhees as the Golden Bears earned a 106-39 win against Washinton Adventist University on Nov. 23.
- As a team, West Virginia Tech shoots almost 45 percent from the field and 40 percent from three to average 82.7 points per game.
- As mentioned previously, the Justice twins (Brittney and Whittney) lead the way individually for WVU-Tech with Brittney leading the Golden Bears in points per game at 18.0 and Whittney also averaging double figures at 12.4 points per game.
- Both Justices are the top-two three-point shooters, in terms of volume, on the team with Brittney totaling 47 three-point shots and Whittney at 36 shots through their nine games.
TIGER CLAWZ
- With the first home game of the season coming up for the Lady Tigers, they are currently on a 17-game winning streak at the Powell Athletic Center.
- Their last home loss came on Jan. 20, 2018 when they lost a 10-point game to No. 4 Shawnee State before they finished that season with four home wins, followed by a 13-0 2018-19 home slate.
- Savannah Gregory has maintained her strong defensive prowess this season with 25 steals so far, good for 9th in the NAIA, through eight games for a 3.1 steals per game average, leading CU in that category.
- Lexy Lake has shown to pick up her outside shooting game this season as she leads the NAIA in three-pointers made at 30 so far this season.
- She is only 21 away from tying her season total three pointers from last year as she's also boosted her playing time from 13.4 to 21.3 minutes per game.
