Lady Tiger softball adds Union County outfield Taylor Windell for 2020-21

MORGANFIELD, Ky. — Head coach Shannon Wathen has totaled the Lady Tiger softball recruiting class to six with the addition of four recent signees for 2020-21. 
 
The third of four signees to be announced this week is Taylor Windell.

 
Windell, from Union County High School, is a 5-foor-9 outfielder. Shes earned All-District the last two seasons, was named team captain and earned the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year for Union County. 
 
"Campbellsville immediately felt like home," said Windell. "I love the campus and the softball family. They made me feel as if I was already a ap part of the team and that showed me they wanted me there."

She hit .392 last season with 15 RBI and 14 doubles for Union County. She also saw 21 innings in the circle and had a 1-2 record overall. 
 
In the classroom, Windell is a member of the Beta Club, National Honor Society, Pep Club, HOSA and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. 
 
Taylor Windell joins Hadlee Carter from Webster County, Central Hardin's Bailey Richardson, Macon County's Morgan Carter, and Allen-County Scottsville's Madi Gregory. Coach Wathen has signed another recruit for 2020-21 and it will be announced throughout the next two weeks.
