BELLEVILLE, Ill. – The Campbellsville University women's bowling team traveled to Illinois last weekend for the National Collegiate Team Match games on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 as the Lady Tigers finished 12
th in the team competition.
CU finished their six team games with a total pin count of 5,395 then added 3,511 pins in 20 Baker games for an overall total of 8906 pins. The winning team total came from Mount Mercy University as they finished with a 10,202 overall pin count to earn the win.
Individually, sophomore
Shelbi Morris had the best six game score for the Lady Tigers as she finished in 21
st overall in the individual contest with 1,162 pins for a 193.67 pins per game average. She had two games over 200 pins with her 205 in her first game and a 206 in her second game.
Candace Gibson was the only other member of Campbellsville's team to bowl all six games as she finished 38
th overall with a 1,066 total pin count and a 177.67 average. Wright State's Madison Stiffler was the individual winner as she finished with a 1,341 pin total, about 70 pins more than the runner-up.
The rest of the lineup for CU consisted of

Madeline Horton,
Mirena Combs,
Morgan Stone, and
Sara Finke. Moch had the highest average through four games with a 181.75 pin average with Combs playing the most games of anyone without a full six as she finished with 894 total pins and a five game average of 178.8.
Dowell added 522 pins in three games, Horton finished with 346 over two games, Stone finished with 519 through three games, and Finke had a 159-pin game. In the Baker games, those eight bowlers had their best game in the seventh with a 256-pin game and finished with a Baker average of 175.55 pins.
The National Collegiate Team Match Games were the last time the Lady Tigers will hit the lanes for the 2019 portion of the schedule as they won't be back in action until Jan. 18-19 when they compete in the KEGEL/ISBPA Collegiate Classic.
