CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – An 11-0 start and most recently capturing the No. 1 spot in the NAIA Coaches' Poll will lead the Campbellsville University women's basketball team into their first Mid-South Conference game this Saturday when they travel to Columbia, Ky. for the Battle of Highway 55 rivalry against No. 15 Lindsey Wilson College.

The Lady Tigers are coming off of a pair of ranked wins over then No. 14 MidAmerica Nazarene and No. 8 Westmont as both teams remain in the rankings at No. 18 and No. 5 respectively.
CU handled the Pioneers of MNU by a final 21-point margin but the Warriors of Westmont gave Campbellsville their closest game of the season with a final of 70-67 as WC used a +5 second half to try and erase an eight-point Lady Tiger halftime lead but just fell short.
SERIES FACTS
- The Lady Tigers and Blue Raiders have been facing off over the majority of the last four decades with the first meeting coming in 1986 and CU holding an overall 54-19 record against LWC.
- Campbellsville is currently on a six-game winning streak against Lindsey Wilson over the last two seasons with three wins in each of the last two seasons, including wins in the MSC tournament.
- Last season, all three of the Lady Tigers' victories came by double figures with two 11-point wins in the regular season and a 22-point win in the conference tournament.
- Blue Raider head coach John B. Wethington has been in charge of Lindsey Wilson's women's program since the 1989-90 season with a 17-50 record against Campbellsville and specifically a 7-21 record against current CU woman in charge, Ginger High Colvin.
- Prior to the current CU winning streak, Lindsey Wilson had won four of the last seven meetings including earning a season sweep against the Lady Tigers in the 2016-17 season with a 23-point win in Campbellsville and a five-point win in Columbia.
#WEARENUMBERONE
- For the first time since 2015-16, CU women's basketball is the top team in the NAIA Coaches' Poll after receiving 219 voting points and eight of the nine first place votes this past Wednesday.
- In 2015-16, the Lady Tigers were the preseason No. 1 team and also earned the No. 1 ranking twice in January after initially dropping down the rankings during the early part of the season.
- Campbellsville's 11-0 start is the best start to a season for the Lady Tigers since 2014-15 when they started 10-0 then suffered their first loss of the season to Lindsey Wilson in a game played on the first week of December.
- That 2014-15 season led to the Lady Tigers reaching the National Championship game and finishing with a 33-4 record, which led to the following season's preseason No. 1 ranking in the NAIA Coaches' Poll.
SCOUTING LINDSEY WILSON
- The Blue Raiders are 9-1 currently on the season with their only loss coming at home to then No. 13, now No. 9 Talladega on Nov. 20 by a final score of 75-66.
- LWC has seven wins of their nine that have come by a double-digit margin as they currently have an average scoring margin of +22.7 on the season.
- Lindsey Wilson is a strong rebounding team, averaging 44.9 rebounds per game and a +7.5 rebounding margin led by leading rebounder DeAsia Outlaw.
- Offensively, the Blue Raiders are led by junior guard and reigning MSC Player of the Year Reagan Turner as she is scoring 16.8 per game while averaging about 13 shots per game.
TIGER CLAWZ
- Campbellsville is the No. 1 assisting team in NAIA Division I with a team total of 214 so far on the season behind starting point guard Caitlin Hall's 68 assists, good for No. 3 individually in that category.
- Forcing turnovers has been a big part of the CU game plan through the early portion of the schedule as they force their opponents into 28.1 turnovers per game and rank third in NAIA DI in total steals at 173 this season.
- Savannah Gregory has maintained her strong defensive prowess this season with 32 steals so far, good for ninth in the NAIA, through nine games for a 2.9 steals per game average, leading CU in that category.
- Lexy Lake has shown to pick up her outside shooting game this season as she leads the NAIA in three-pointers made at 37 so far this season.
- She is only 14 away from tying her season total three pointers from last year as she's also boosted her playing time from 13.4 to 22.3 minutes per game.
INDIVIDUAL MILESTONES WATCH
- Upper classmen in the CU starting lineup have been and will be climbing the all-time leader boards in the history of Lady Tiger basketball.
- Starting with Madsion Faulkner joining the 1,000-point club, she now sits at 32nd on the all-time scoring list and will likely have a teammate join her on that list as Savannah Gregory currently sits at 913 career points.
- Gregory is also in the top-six on the career steals list as she is currently at 260, just six behind Beth Grant for fifth all-time.
- Senior guard Caitlin Hall currently has 489 career assists, good for sixth place and just 11 away from becoming the sixth player to reach 500 assists in program history.
1,000-WIN PLATEAU
- In the 45th season of Lady Tiger basketball history, Campbellsville reached a milestone that had only been accomplished twice before in the history of NAIA women's basketball, win 1,000 games as a program.
- The monumental win came in CU's 91-59 win over Martin Methodist College last Saturday in Pulaski, Tenn. as part of the MSC/SSAC Crossover Challenge.
- Campbellsville joins Wayland Baptist and Union University (Tenn.) as the only other programs to reach the feat as Union is no longer part of the NAIA after moving to the NCAA Division II level.

- Campbellsville will play a home-and-home series with Fisk University next week as the CU will travel to Nashville on Monday followed by a home game at the Powell Athletic Center on Dec. 14.
