Lady Tigers improve in second round to finish in sixth place at Georgetown Invitational

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Lady Tiger golf improved in the second round of the Georgetown College Invitational by 14 strokes to finish in sixth place at the Slammer and Squire. 
 
The Lady Tigers shot 356 and were in eighth place after round one but just up the leaderboard with a strong second round to finish sixth with a score of 341. 
 
Senior Kylie Withrow led the Lady Tigers with an 88-80 in the two rounds to finish in a tie for 22nd. She was followed by fellow senior Michaela Jarman's 86-87 and sophomore Devany Cope's 88-90. 
 
Rounding out the Lady Tigers were Paige Ferguson and Courtney Withrow. Ferguson rallied in her second round to overcome a first-round 97. She finished with an 84 today. Withrow, fell back three shots from her first round with scores of 94-97. 
 
Individually, Keiser University's Samantha Fuller won individual medalist honors by six strokes with scores of 72-73. 
 
The Skyhawks also ran away with the team tournament with scores of 304-311 to out-pace USC Beaufort by 25 strokes. 

The Lady Tigers will now have a few days to prepare for the Faulkner University Spring Invitational which is scheduled for Feb. 25-26.
