Women's Basketball Jordan Alves

No. 4 Lady Tigers host Life University on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — With a 12-game winning streak, Campbellsville women's basketball has the third-longest active streak in the NAIA and the Lady Tigers put that streak on the line Saturday afternoon as the Life University Running Eagles come into town.

Campbellsville (24-2, 10-0 MSC) and Life (14-8, 4-6 MSC) are scheduled for 2 p.m. ET in the Powell Athletic Center. Fans can follow along on the CU Sports Network with Matt Payton starting at 1:45.

The Lady Tigers hold the third-longest active win streak in the NAIA while Columbia College leads the way with 15 wins in a row. The last for the Cougars came to Freed-Hardeman on Dec. 15.

But Campbellsville, which has the most wins in the country with 24, has rallied off 12 straight and 19 of the last 20. During that stretch, CU has won 14 of the last 20 games by double-figures. On the flip side, the Lady Tigers have trailed in the second half in two of those six games they haven't won by double figures but battled at the end to prevail and keep the streak alive.

Saturday's contest is the second of four-straight home games for the Lady Tigers and CU is looking to extend its MSC record to 11-0 and keep at least a 2 1/2 game lead over Shawnee State in the standings.
