Hagen Tyler earns NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors to cap his terrific career

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — He capped off his career with a 3-point competition win this past weekend and now he continues to impress in the class classroom. Campbellsville's Hagen Tyler earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, the national office announced on Monday. 
 
Tyler, a senior from Danville, Ky., has a GPA of 3.6 and is graduating in May 2019. 
 
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended two full years as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer.
 
Tyler ended his senior season by hitting 96-of-212 (45.3%) from deep as he finished the season with the third-best three-point shooting percentage in the Mid-South Conference. The senior from Danville, Ky. scored 1,951 points in his four-year career to place fourth all-time in Campbellsville history in points scored.
