Men's tennis holds off late Marian University run in singles to claim Senior Day win

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — No. 14 Campbellsville men's tennis celebrated senior day with a 5-4 win over Marian University on Wednesday. 
 
The Tigers picked up a sweep of doubles but the Knights came roaring back in singles, winning four of the six matches. 
 
Blayze O'Keefe lost at No. 3 singles and so did Christian Perez at No. 2. But at No. 1 singles, it was graduate transfer Will True winning in three sets over Hunter Sylvester, 6-1, 1-6, 6-3. Then at No. 4 singles, Alberto Perez picked up a 6-3, 7-6 victory to claim the Tiger win.
 
The Knights made things interesting with singles Victoria at Nos. 2, 3, 5, and 6. 
 
The win improves the Tigers to a 13-6 record and CU is scheduled to host University of the Cumberlands on Friday afternoon starting at 2 p.m. ET at the Kelly Hall Tennis Complex.
