Withrow fires 79 to finish eighth; Lady Tigers are fifth in shortened MSC Spring Invite

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — Due to forecasted bad weather on Sunday, the Mid-South Conference Women's Golf Spring Invitational Championship was shortened to only 18 holes and Campbellsville University finished in fifth place. 
 
The Lady Tigers tallied a team score of 331 – 20 strokes off the leader Cumberland University (311). 
 
Senior Kylie Withrow led the way with a seven-over 79 to finish in a tie for eighth place. She was followed by sophomore Devany Cope's 10-over 82 and Michaela Jarman's 11-over 83. Cope finished in a tie for 15thplace, while Jarman was tied for 18th
 
Freshman Paige Ferguson placed in solo 24thafter an 87 and Cortney Withrow shot a 93 to place tied for 31st
 
Cumberland University's Ana Laura Pages won the individual crown with an even par 72. 
 
The Lady Tigers placed fourth in the MSC Fall Invitational and have now placed fifth in the spring invite. The MSC Championship is scheduled for Monday-Wednesday, April 29-May 1 at Bowling Green Country Club.
