MARION, Ind. – The Campbellsville women's tennis team was able to pull out a single point win 5-4 over University of Northwestern Ohio but also fell 5-1 to No. 11 Indiana Wesleyan and 5-0 to Cardinal Stritch University.
The win over the Racers of UNOH had to be earned after falling behind 2-1 after doubles play then with the match being tied 4-4 with one singles match left to be finished.
Alabina Zaganjor had to go into the third set against Gabriela Eva as Zaganjor won the match 6-2, 6-7, 6-4 to clinch the dual for CU.
Bolor Enkhbayar,
Rebeca Scurt, and
Brooklyn Harris all won their prior singles match to help the Lady Tigers gain a 4-2 advantage after Enkhbayar and
Brenda Aguilar earned the only doubles point at 8-1 in No. 1 doubles.
The other matches were called to finish after the clinching fifth team point was scored so the only team point scored the rest of the weekend came from
Kourtnee Hayes at No. 6 singles against Indiana Wesleyan 6-0, 6-0.
CU will return home on Wednesday when they host Marian University at the Kelly Hall Tennis Complex for Senior Day at 2:00 p.m. ET.
