4x800m relay places sixth overall and earns All-American honors

GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Tigers 4x800m relay ended their season by placing sixth place and earning All-American honors.

Bret Crawford, Camryn Snapp, Josiah Harp, and Sam Kiser were able to improve upon yesterdays school record with a new record time of 7:42.51. The race spread out early on with Harp and Kiser being able to hold onto sixth place for the Tigers. Kiser had to save some in the tank for the relay after competing in the 800m open earlier in the day. Kiser ran a 1:55.36 and placed 18thoverall. He would have needed to set a new personal record to move onto finals.

Brayden Russell placed tied for 17thoverall in the men's high jump. His jump of 1.97m was cleared on his second attempt. He was unable to clear the bar at 2.02m. Garland Webb was unable to record a mark in the long jump after scratching on all three attempts on the day.

Savannah Gregory finished up her season in the open 400m trials. Her time of 57.81 was good enough to place her 16thoverall. Gregory would have needed to best a 56.49 from fellow Mid-South opponent Alexia DelHaven from Lindsey Wilson.

Haley Payton was the final individual competing this afternoon. She was able to hit a mark of 11.01, but was unable to qualify for the finals this evening.

Webb will be the lone Tiger competing in events tomorrow afternoon as he will jump in the triple jump. He is seeded third overall going in the event with a mark of 14.95 set earlier in the season.
