GULF SHORES, Ala. –
Garland Webb capped off a historical season Saturday afternoon when e jumped his way to a fourth place NAIA All-American.
Webb's jump of 14.86m came on his first attempt of the afternoon. He was able to qualify for the finals later on in the day, but was unable to improve upon his opening jump of the day. Webb's final three jumps of the year were 14.95m at the Mid-South Conference Championships, 14.91m at the NCCAA Championships, and 14.86m at the NAIA Championships. His previous best before these jumps was sitting at 14.55m.
Webb now owns the iindoor long jump and triple jump records, along with now both the outdoor long jump and triple jump school records.
The Tigers walk away with two different event All-American honors and five overall.
