CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville University women's soccer team tied their season-high for goals scored in a game in their 12-0 win over Bluefield College on Wednesday night.
It didn't take CU long to get on the board after the opening whistle as
Olja Ivanovic stole a Bluefield pass on the right wing to gain possession. On her break towards the goal she found herself one-on-one with the BC keeper as she scored inside the left post 16 seconds in to give the Lady Tigers a 1-0 lead.
After that it was a barrage of goals from Campbellsville as
Hope Sanders scored twice,
Molly Hall finished off a header on a corner kick, with
Jessie Bryson,
Jenna Croteau, and
Jordan Stallings all added goals for a seven-spot in the first half.
The Lady Tigers added five more goals in the second half as
Braxton Gentry scored twice in the second 45 minutes, Stallings and Bryson each added their second goals of the game, and
Savannah Hobbs got on the board late in the game.
Campbellsville will be off until next Tuesday when they host University of Rio Grande at 6 p.m. ET at Finley Stadium.
