Mahoney fires career-low 68 as Tigers sit in second after Day 1 of Blue Raider Kickoff

COLUMBIA, Ky. — One stroke is between Indiana University Kokomo and Campbellsville University after Day 1 of the Lindsey Wilson College Blue Raider Kick Off at The Pines.

The Tigers shot 281 and is one shot behind the leaders from Kokomo (280). Thomas More University is one stroke behind CU with a first-round score of 282.

Junior Austin Mahoney led the way for the Tigers firing a career-low three-under 68. He carded a pair of eagles in his first-nine but fell victim to as many double bogeys on the back-nine to even it out. But three birdies on the back put him within striking distance of the leader from Lindsey Wilson, Colby White, with a 66.

Senior Justin Warman was steady in his first round with a birdie and eight pars on the first nine holes. After going out with a one-under 35, Warman carded four birdies and three bogeys to sit at one-under on the back.

Jonathan Brewington, Landon Connor and Layton Hord rounded out the Top 5. Brewington finished at even par with a 71, while Conner and Hord both carded a two-over 73.

Individually, Seth Bohl sits in ninth place after a one-under 70. Connor Wilson sits in 29^thafter firing a three-over 74 and Mark Murphy is in 38^thwith a four-over 75.

Clay Barnett and Owen Workman shot 78 and 80, respectively, to sit in 51^stand 54^th.

The second round of the Blue Raider Kick Off tees off early on Tuesday morning at The Pines.
