CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – On Tuesday, the Lady Tigers will travel Lebanon, Tenn. to matchup with Cumberland University at 8 p.m. ET.
This match begins a tough string of conference matches for the Lady Tigers as they will play three straight matches inside the Mid-South Conference, playing the top three teams in the conference.
Campbellsville's comeback over the Cumberlands
- Facing a two set deficit, an electric crowd and four Lady Tigers with double digit kill performances powered CU to a much needed comeback to pick up a huge Mid-South Conference win.
- After dropping the first two sets, 25-23 and 27-25, the Lady Tigers had their backs against the wall after the were down to their final point.
- Nonetheless, the Lady Tigers captured the set and rode the momentum into set four and five, to win the match.
- The Lady Tigers were led by Kymbra Kirby and Sonia Flendrich as Kirby was able to tally 14 kills and four aces, and Flendrich had 13 kills and five aces.

- Fifteen games into their 2019 campaign, the Phoenix sit at an overall record of 10-5 and 2-0 inside conference play.
- In Cumberland's last match, they were able to pick up a win over the 3rdranked Park University in five sets.
- Cumberland has also split two matches against Reinhardt University, who is in the receiving votes section in the latest NAIA poll.
- Statistically, the Phoenix have a trio of attackers with over 110 kills. The team is led by Mikayla Wickham (127), Masa Nalovic (117), and Lyssette Serna (114).
Lady Tiger history against the Phoenix
- Since 2005, the Lady Tigers have played 22 matches against the Phoenix and are undefeated in those meetings.
- Last season, Campbellsville was able to outduel the Phoenix 3-2 and 3-1 in their two meetings.
- In their last match, Campbellsville's four set win was powered by a 16 kill performance from Sonia Flendrich.
Conference standings heading in Tuesday
- Entering Tuesday, Cumberland University and Thomas More are the only two teams that remain undefeated in conference play.
- The Phoenix are currently in second place in the standings with a 2-0 conference record.

Tuesday's match against the Phoenix is the lone match on the week for the Lady Tigers. They will have a week break before traveling to Lindsey Wilson for the Battle of Highway 55 on September 24
