CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Due to COVID-19 protocols at the University of the Cumberlands, Campbellsville University's women's basketball game against the Patriots for this Thursday evening has been officially postponed.
Working quickly, the Lady Tiger coaching staff found a way to get on the court for game action still this Thursday as they will now go to Midway, Ky. to face Midway University this Thursday night at 7 p.m. ET.
Per Midway officials, there are to be no spectators from visiting teams to attend any indoor athletic events, that includes women's basketball games. Midway allows community members only – this means only those students who are currently enrolled and only current faculty and staff members with proper identification will be permitted to attend the event.
Matt Payton, the voice of Lady Tiger basketball, will be on the airwaves of WLCU FM/88.7 The Tiger from Midway to call the action of Thursday night's contest for CU fans. Midway will also provide a video stream at
https://portal.stretchinternet.com/midway/ so fans can watch the action away from the gym as well.
CU's Mid-South Conference opener will now be this Saturday afternoon against University of Pikeville for a 1:30 p.m. ET tip off at the Appalachian Wireless Arena. That game will be played as a single game and not part of a doubleheader as the men's basketball conference games from this week were announced to be postponed last week.
All scheduled games, updates, and announcements are subject to change due to the nature of COVID-19 and for the latest updates, follow the Lady Tigers on Twitter @LTB_CU and online at
