Men's golf earns highest GolfStat ranking in program history at No. 10

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — GolfStat has announced its monthly rankings and Campbellsville University men's golf continues to climb the polls at No. 10.

The No. 10 ranking is the highest in program history for the Tigers as the highest mark entering the 2020 season came at No. 17 during the 2007-08 year under the late P.J. Throckmorton.

The highest ranking in the Jim Ward era came at the end of last season when the Tigers finished the year ranked No. 31 in the NAIA.

Campbellsville earned a relative percentage of 86% and boasts an adjusted scoring average of 73.5. The strength of schedule (SOS) is the sixth highest as the Tigers sit at 76.255.

Point University ranks No. 1 in the NAIA, while Keiser University is second, Wayland Baptist is third, Morningside College is fourth and College of Coastal Georgia is fifth.

During the Music City Invitational at Twelve Stone Golf Club, the Tigers were five shots ahead of now-No. 1 Point University but a second round 305 (the highest all year for CU) squandered the upset bid.

Campbellsville's fall schedule is completed and the spring schedule will be announced in the coming weeks. For more information on GolfStat rankings, go to http://golfstat.com/index.cfm?event=public.teamRanking
