CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Returning to the court for the first time since Nov. 7, the Campbellsville University men's basketball team will host Bethel University for a Mid-South Conference matchup this Thursday evening at the Powell Athletic Center.
The Tigers last played during the Lou Cunningham Classic when they hosted Simmons College and Union College, as they split those games to move to their current 2-1 record before cancelling three non-conference games and rescheduling their two missed MSC games due to COVID-19 protocols.
The Wildcats come into Thursday with the same 2-1 record with wins against Brescia and Blue Mountain College with a loss in their lone MSC matchup against Lindsey Wilson.

LINEUP LIMITATIONS
- Through their first three games, the Tigers have seen their fair share of moments that forced players to miss games outside of COVID-19 including injury troubles to players like Brayden Sebastian and Hassan Ceesay.
- Heading into the game against Bethel, seniors Lenorris Mincey and Alston Davis will make their first appearances of the season as they started 25 and 13 games respectively with each averaging over 14 minutes per game.
- CU will still have some players out due to COVID-19 protocols for the game against Bethel as well as senior guard Jacob King out due a wrist injury, which will shorten the lineup significantly for head coach Brent Vernon.
- Starters Taiveyhon Mason, Brayden Sebastian, and Ross Ryan as well as Jay'von Jackson, Taj Price, Max Reyes, Davis, and Mincey are the expected players available for the game on Thursday with Mason's 18.7 and Price's 10.0 points per game leading the way for CU's active players.
SCOUTING BETHEL
- The Wildcats have had their fair share of schedule adjustments throughout the first month of the 2020-21 season with two of their three games that have been played being rescheduled from their original dates.
- Offensively, they are led by forward Chandler Clements as he is close to averaging a double-double through three games with 21.0 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game.
- Guard Jarred Walker has also started all three games as he's averaging 15.3 points per game and is leading the team in assists with 22 with Jamarius Mayberry (14.0 ppg) and Immanuel Anderson (12.0 ppg) averaging double figures off the bench for BU.
LOOKING AHEAD
- Campbellsville's game against Freed-Hardeman scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed to be rescheduled for a later date as the Tigers will look ahead to their already rescheduled MSC games when they travel to Pikeville on Dec. 8 and Cumberlands on Dec. 15.
